The sovereign is a gold coin of the United Kingdom that has a nominal value of one pound sterling. Struck since 1817, it was originally a circulating coin that was accepted in Britain and elsewhere in the world; it is now a bullion coin and is sometimes mounted in jewellery.
The very first gold Sovereign was struck during Henry VII’s reign. On 28th October 1489, the king ordered the officers of his Royal Mint to produce “A new money of gold.”
Up to that point, gold coins had been in circulation for over a hundred years, so the Sovereign certainly wasn’t the first gold coin to be minted in England. It was, however, the largest and most valuable ever seen at that time. On the obverse of the coin there was a portrait of Henry VII on his throne, wearing his coronation gown. The royal arms featured on the reverse, with a magnificent double rose that symbolised the union of York and Lancaster after the Wars of the Roses.

We offer FREE FULLY INSURED shipping anywhere in the United Kingdom. Standard delivery time is between 3-5 business working days and where possible you can track your order online once dispatched.
“In stock” coins will be shipped fully insured within 3-5 business days.
“Out of Stock” coins are items which are currently not available for purchase.
“Awaiting stock” means we are awaiting a delivery of items.
“On back order” coins are items which can be bought at the live spot price on the day but can take 4-8 weeks to source and deliver.
We will deliver your order in the fastest and safest way possible as soon as payment is cleared and the stock is available. We use Royal Mail, UPS and FedEx for our deliveries.
Please note that due to the increase in the gold price, we are unable to dispatch 500 gram and 1kg bars as it exceeds our insurance limits. Bars can still be collected in person or kept in secure storage.
Our packaging is discrete and we do everything to minimise the chance of anyone guessing the contents of the parcel. No reference to bullion or coins will be on the packaging.
We ask that you assist us in getting the order to you safely by making sure that the addresses you register are correct and that any card payments are made from a card registered in both your name and also to your address.
All parcels of any value are fully insured by us until signed for by someone at your address.
We cannot be held responsible for delays to the postal system which may affect delivery of your goods, which are beyond our control.
Collection
Orders that have been fully paid in advance can be collected from our office after we have contacted you to inform you that your package is ready to collect.
When you come to collect you must produce identification and a copy of the invoice for the goods you are collecting. We cannot release the goods to 3rd parties.

We offer a high security and insured storage solution from £10 or 0.065% per month. Our storage service includes free delivery to the vault, individual sub accounts and fully insured storage.
